10 Things Nobody Tells You To Do Before Your Baby Arrives

10 THINGS NOBODY TELLS YOU TO DO BEFORE YOUR BABY ARRIVES

You’re a few weeks until you meet your precious bundle of joy and now you begin questioning everything!! Do I have enough swaddles? Did I read the right books? Can I handle this? Your emotions are all over the place from excitement, to nervous, to totally ready to meet your newborn baby!!

Here’s a list we’ve compiled to help ensure that everyone is ready to welcome home baby!

Freeze Meals

When your baby arrives, the last thing that you’ll want to do is cook. Hence, why we suggest that you prepare some meals that you can heat and eat! You can also discuss starting a meal train.

Deep Clean

Obviously, you’re going to want to bring your precious baby into the cleanest environment possible. Certainly, you can hire someone or go room by room and get a little done each day.

Stock Up On Essentials

This list includes Diapers, Wipes, Pacifiers, Postpartum Items for yourself, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels and Frozen Food. Check out the products we recommend with the sub category “While I’m Pregnant” to find all of our Blissful Baby Nurse approved items!

Finalize Your Postpartum Plan

Did you hire a Baby Nurse? Will family be able to help during the day and or night? Is your partner taking any time off work? Clarifying this beforehand, this will help alleviate any unnecessary stress.

Pamper Yourself

It’s time to take care of YOU before your baby arrives. Make those appointments to get that manicure, pedicure, facial, and/or massage. www.edendayspa.net

Install The Car Seat

Make sure that you’re ready to go and your car seat is properly installed. Just in case you go early, you’ll know you can bring your baby home safely.

Start on Thank You Cards

Seems easy enough but you will be thankful that you got a head start. Everyone from your neighbors, friends, family, and old childhood friends will be showering you with gifts for your baby. Start early!

Maternity Pictures

Such a fun and memorable keepsake. We love award winning photographer NickiKristof.com for your maternity and newborn photoshoots. You can check out her work on our website along with her website www.nickikristof.com

Organize The Nursery

At this point, you’re going to want to make sure there are NO bumpers in the crib, fresh linens are placed on the changing pad, and everything is set up for baby. YAY!! 😊

Date night

It’s always great to have one last date night with your hubby before your baby arrives. My favorite local restaurant is www.squareonerestaurants.com Their diverse menu of American classics and incredible ambiance will ensure a fabulous night out.
